Spline Shafts(Torque:Medium Torque)
Splines are parts that transmit power through the movement of interlocking grooved rotary shafts. Since splines transmit power by meshing together many tooth surfaces, they have superior load transmission ability and alignment relative to fasteners such as screws, pins, keys or mechanical locks. The main types of splines are square splines (with linear and parallel groove side surfaces), involute splines (with zig-zag tooth shapes in circular arrangements) and ball splines (that generate linear motion from rolling steel balls placed in the grooves). Splines that can transmit large torques are used in a variety of mechanisms such as automotive and high-speed rolling stock transmissions, propeller shafts, transportation equipment and machine tools. There are a wide range of applications, so an extensive lineup of product types and shapes are available.

IKO
The IKO Linear Ball Spline G is a linear motion rolling guide in which an external cylinder performs endless linear motion along a spline shaft. Since two rows of steel balls come in contact with the raceway surface at four points, stable accuracy and rigidity can be achieved, even in applications where load with variable direction and size, or complex load is applied. The linear ball spline is extremely compact, thanks to its simple structure.
