The male threads on the Hex Socket Plug fittings have a pre-applied PTFE thread sealant for extra leak protection. Instrumentation fittings are machined to an exceptional tolerance level with rolled threads for increased strength. Use these fittings in extreme-pressure applications. 316 Stainless Steel has excellent corrosion resistance.
