Civil engineering and carpentry components are a general term for components manufactured for construction and are building materials. Members refer to parts and components comprising building frameworks and structures such as posts and beams. At construction sites, structural members are simply called members. They are used in a wide range of situations, such as construction work, civil engineering work, electric work and machine and equipment work, to support the framework and construction of structures. There are fixing members such as anchors and plugs which are used like screws and nails when securing something to concrete, as well as parts used for installation. Anchors are easy to work with and install, and cast-in anchors which are embedded in concrete are useful. Gratings, which are latticed steel structures used to cover gutters, are also members for civil engineering work and carpentry. Stainless steel gratings are rust-resistant and suitable for outdoor use.
