Spacers available in polyacetal, MC nylon, phenolic (bakelite), fluororesin, PEEK and epoxy glass. Polyacetal (commonly known as Delrin) is an engineering thermoplastic with good strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability, making it good for food applications. MC Nylon has excellent impact resistance, ideal for wear applications such as bearings and gears. Phenolic is a plastic with minimal thermal expansion, high compressive strength, excellent wear and abrasion resistance, and a low friction coefficient. |Fluororesin (PTFE) has the lowest coefficient of friction, can withstand high temperatures up to 250°C (500 °F), and is inert to chemicals and solvents, making it a great choice for food applications. PEEK has excellent temperature resistance up to 250°C (500 °F), and excellent flexural and tensile properties. Epoxy glass has excellent insulation properties as well as mechanical strength (310 Mpa) and bending strength (430 Mpa).
