More Information

- Features of Ant-Backlash Type

Regular Type
Lead Screw Nuts - Anti-Basklash Type:Related Image

Regular type has axial play of shaft and nut, and this causes backlash on reverse driving direction.

Ant-Backlash Type
Lead Screw Nuts - Anti-Basklash Type:Related Image

Backlash Type can make a play between shaft and nut free by spring force of thin type precompression spring installed between main nut and accessory nut. Even if there is abrasion, spring force controls backlash.

(Note) Effect is dependent on load condition (load and direction).

(1) Positioning Error Comparison (Reference Value)
Lead Screw Nuts - Anti-Basklash Type:Related Image
· Controls the deterioration in precision of positioning caused by Moment of Inertia during shut down of motion and driving fluctuation effect.
(2) Positioning Repeatability Error Comparison (Reference Value)
Lead Screw Nuts - Anti-Basklash Type:Related Image
· Positioning repeatability is improved by Ant-Backlash structure.
Test Conditions: Sample Nut: MTBLR16 Axis: MTSRG−270
Travel Distance: 75mm

Example

- How to mount the Ant-Backlash Type
((1) Remove the sticker that is temporarily fixing the main and accessory nuts. In this condition, the main and accessory nuts are fixed by 2 pieces of set screws.
(2) While the set screw is fixed, it is turned to screw shaft of trapezoidal screw as it is inserted.
(3) After insertion of accessory nut, a set screw is rotated approximately 45° to 90° to loosen, The tightening of main and accessory nuts is released and activates spring effectiveness.
(Caution) The mounted set screw must not protrude out from external diameter of the accessory nut. In order to prevent dropout of the set screw due to vibration and the like, insert it up to the accessory nut part of the housing.
