The primary function of ball locking pins is to secure the position of a component or moving part in a machine or device. These pins consist of a steel or stainless steel ball that is inserted into a corresponding hole or slot. When the pin is pushed, the ball moves outward and locks into position, thus preventing any unwanted movement.
What distinguishes the different pin models is the shape of their handle:

Operation
When the push button is pressed, the balls are stored, allowing the pin to be released and thus separating the joined
pieces. When the button is released, the balls come out and resume their locking function.
