NON-METAL WASHERS & COLLARS

A non-metallic washer is used to keep a resin nut or screw tight, just as it can be used to ensure a hermetic seal in a joint or union, it is also used to prevent friction between two pieces, avoiding damaging them. Non-metallic collars are cylindrical parts that are normally used to protect mechanical elements, space elements between two parts, and support two installed parts.

Applications

Linear axes are used in a wide variety of industrial applications:

  • Isolation and Damping Applications: Used in applications that require electrical isolation, vibration damping, or impact protection. For example, can be used in vehicle suspension systems, heavy machinery, transportation equipment, among others.

  • Sealing Applications: Used in sealing applications such as gaskets, gaskets, and seals. These washers provide a tight seal to prevent liquid or gas leaks in systems such as pipes, vessels, faucets, and valves.

  • Packaging: Used in various components, such as exhaust systems, cooling systems, fuel systems and suspension systems. These non-metallic components can provide thermal insulation, corrosion resistance, and vibration damping.

The assembly shown corresponds to a low impact clamping table.

The highlighted washer is square and has two holes, serving
as structural support for the work piece without damaging it.

  • Standard: Cylindrical or ring-shaped device with a central bore that matches the shaft’s diameter. Maintain the position, provide space between components on a shaft, preventing axial movement, and providing a means for securing them in place.
  • Flanged: Includes an integrated flange on one side. The flange is a flat, extended rim or lip that extends radially from the collar’s outer diameter.
  • Flanged Solid: Includes an integrated flange on one side and has no bore in the center. The flange is a flat, extended rim or lip that extends radially from the collar’s outer diameter.
  • Counterbore: Similar to the standard with a particular machining process that creates a recessed bore. This counterbore helps to hide the heads of the screws.
  • With Guide: Resin spacer with guide / step. It can be used to hold the inner ring of bearings.
  • Square Washer: Prevent the rotation of a fastener. This can be useful in applications where maintaining the orientation of components is crucial.

MISUMI’s non-metallic washers and collars are configurable, making them adaptable to your specific application needs.
This includes external and internal diameters, thickness, materials, among others.

NON-METALLIC WASHERS

Washer that is made of non-metallic materials, mostly resins.

Usually serve to:

  • Keep a resin nut or screw tight.
  • Ensure hermetic closure in a joint or union.
  • Avoid rubbing between two pieces, avoiding damaging them.

NON-METALLIC COLLARS

It is a cylindrical piece that has various industrial applications, these models are made of non-metallic materials, mostly resins.

Usually serve to:

  • Protect mechanical elements.
  • Being spacers between two pieces.
  • Support two installed parts
